Sara Mathews

Sara is an Ashridge-accredited Executive Coach with a Master’s in Executive Coaching and is a Senior Practitioner with the EMCC. She attended INSEAD’s Executive Development Programme and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

Sara brings a unique blend of commercial and HR leadership experience to her work at Gadby Leadership Consulting, having held senior roles across FMCG, retail, and political sectors in both UK and international contexts.  Her career includes senior roles as Global Head of Commercial Strategy – People Capability at Tesco and Chief People Officer for the Conservative Party, where she led the strategic development and implementation of the business plan. Her coaching span includes retail, politics, finance, healthcare, IT, and the charity sector.

Her expertise in strategic planning, organisational design, and change management is underpinned by 14-years in retail commercial roles as well as her experience as a CHRO. Her coaching work draws on this breadth, helping individuals and teams achieve specific goals through a practical, outcomes-focused approach.  She creates a safe, confidential space for clients to explore challenges and build sustainable solutions, combining thoughtful support with a focused, relational coaching style.
